There's some more shots in my gallery, too, of the interior and around the car. Also like Gas Man, I received a certificate that I haven't framed yet...... I've also added a ChevyHHR.net decal in support of this great site :twothumbs:

Future plans: Homebrew intake and Trifecta Tune, Traction control on/off switch, "Guide" traffic light viewer, Old S'cool pinstriping, Under hood detailing and paint work, "blackened" headlight mod (not tinted)......

If this is a 2007, there shouldn't BE factory traction / stability control, only anti-lock brakes. So, there's nothing to turn off.

If you ever do the homebrew intake, I'd be interested in the GMPP you have now. Or, did you do the GMPP instead to avoid setting codes and possibly voiding the warranty?

Depo could get you the headlight mod you seek.

Edit - Thanks for clarifying below about the depos and the GMPP intake. Traction control was included with ABS when you ordered an automatic transmission, but stability control was not offered in 2007. Now I understand why I was oblivious - I have a manual transmission!

In reverse order....

Depos are not what I want at all. Totally the wrong look.

Sorry but the GMPP is staying, thanks for the interest though. This old thread happened before I acquired mine, that's why I added the photos of it after the fact.

2007 certainly does have Traction Control. No Stability Control, but I wasn't talking about that. The switch is a moot point now, the Trifecta tune set me up nicely.

Thanks, man!

Gotta go out in a minute to walk the dogs and see if last night's brief hail storm made it any "less sharp"........ Freaky weather this year!

EDIT: Seems fine, no worries.

Did you paint the calipers on or off the truck?

On my previous car I painted them while still on. Just used newspaper and painters tape to shroud and mask off the rotors, wheel well and fender. Turned out great.

On my HHR they were done while off for a brake job. Either way they both turned out good. Just be careful that if you do your rotor hats not to get too much on the surface of the rotor. Some light overspray is ok since the pad will cut a clean line but if it's too heavy or RUNS the high temp paint will bake in some and you will be replacing a pad and rotor (take that from experience!).
