200 miles to a tank gas ???

I just bought a 2007 panel and on the dash it says I will get 200 miles to a tank of gas. This has to wrong! I'm avg. about 26 mpg in the city. Does anyone have any ideas?

Reset all the avg. numbers and you will get a number closer to the truth. The paper and calculator method is more reliable

It's probably like that from being moved around the lot, and only averaging 10-12 mpgs.

And sitting around idling for 20 minutes. The tank gauge actually knows exactly how much is in the tank. Until you fill it up and reset all of the mpg related DIC items at the same time it will be skewed.

I get 32 MPG on a long haul on the Interstate, but 18 MPG when I do a distribution route with 100 stops in 80 miles (I just leave the engine running all day).
