Our cars are very picky on maf location. Even well known manufacturers had problems. Good luck

The pipes are tooo big and you are getting all of the engine heat. very little cool air to the engine.

And 3 inch instead of 2 1/2 inch so no velocity of air flow.

After the sc I'm hoping to do a functional cowl hood feeding a modified airaid intake. Id prefer finding a donor hood first though.

Dont think cowl will work very well because of the aerodynamics....scoop does....there were discussions here on that. The way the air flows over the hood does not create the high pressure area like other vehicles....

Just doin it for fun and to hear the supercharger better.
For it to improve performance it would be huge, big enough to suck air off the windshield. This ain't no top fuel drag car.

Boydie, I just saw this thread and it's just like Jay said, your pipe dia. is to big. I've made about 6 different air-intakes to see what would work and what wouldn't. Different diamenter pipes, lengths and different filters.I would suggest plugging up where you first put the MAF sensor. And re-locate it where both tubes come together. But I really think the 3" dia. tube is too big. It's a hit and miss with experimenting with the air-intakes on these computer assisted engines.

Tracy

As stated in a previous post I intend to move the MAF sensor closer to the original location and see if that works. I don't really believe the difference between 2 1/2 and 3 inches pipe diameter should make much of a difference but we will see.
