E85 Fuel Economy

LIKE IT or NOT
I wanted to try the E85 to see and feel the difference for myself.
Here in Tennessee is what I came up with after several tanks of each:
GASOLINE = $3.45 per gallon (currently)
RANGE (my HHR) = 476 miles
14 gallons = $48.30
MPG = 34
per mile (cost/RANGE) = $0.1015
E85 = $2.99 per gallon
RANGE (my HHR) = 420 miles
14 gallons = $41.86
MPG = 30
per mile (cost/RANGE) = $0.0997
The difference may be minimal per mile but it IS cheaper per mile. Add it up. It comes out to a savings of about $2.00 for every 1,000 miles. It appears to me that it will be cheaper-per-mile as long as you can get the E85 at a price $0.40 per gallon cheaper than gas. So when I'm in Nashville, TN, I get the E85.

Wether or not I use the E85, groceries are what they are.
And if it's cheaper I will use it.
Not to mention the price of DIESEL which is used to plant crops, disc fields, combine crops, deliver grain to market, transport grain to processors, and deliver products to your market.
So, tell me, what effect on my mileage do these groceries have?
