E85 for better performance with A/C running?
Has anybody experimented with using E85 during the summer? It has gotten very hot in Oklahoma, and I've had to use the air conditioning nearly nonstop over the last few months. I notice a huge drop in power when the compressor is on. E85 gives the engine a 5 hp and 5 lb-ft boost. Does this help engine performance when the A/C is on? I'm going to fill up with E85 to see if it helps but I wanted to see if anybody else had had success with using E85 during the hot, sweltering endless summer days where it feels like you're walking into an oven when you walk outside.

I've run E85 in it several times before and I am well aware of the lower economy. The alcohol is less expensive than the gasoline by a decent margin so it all levels out in the end for the most part. I just want better acceleration when taking off with the AC on high. I filled it up this morning with E85 and it seems to have a little more power but it might be my imagination. The 2.2 really needs about 200 HP.

Alcohol has more energy than gas.
The fan speed has nothing to do with fuel consumption, neither does the hot/cold air blend. The A/C is either on or off, you adjust the temperature of the air by blending heated air in with the cooled air.
