Back in the dark ages, we would install a 190 or 195 degrees thermostat, for heat in the winter. These guys were aiming at 100 MPGthen in the spring install a 160 to 175 thermostat for cooler running in the heat of summer, back then , no A/C, no computers, heck , there wasn’t anything but an idiot light to let you know you had overheated. But with our trucklets, 180 F degrees, it what the computer is programmed to search for and the time to reach heat and maintain those temperatures |
