Anytime you're up here slide me a PM !
I'm just about at the one month mark for the K&N FIPK and the 2 1/4 inch Walker cat back exhaust no real change in fuel mileage yet , but I have used the remote start more often , but still average 32 MPG

I've been checking out different routes to / from work since I bought my HHR back in December. I'm surprised at just how much difference the routes make in MPG.

Shortest route both ways = 20.6 - 22.1 MPG
Longest route both ways = 21.3 - 22.4 MPG
Longest to / shorted from = 19.4 - 20.3 MPG
Shortest to / longest from = 24.9 - 25.4 MPG

Shortest route is 3.8 miles one way & 5 traffic lights. On the way to work in the mornings, I face 2 right turns & one left turn, I get stopped at 2 of the lights almost every day, all 5 about once every 3 weeks. One of the 2 daily lights is a right turn, but cannot always get to the right lane. On the way home in the afternoons, I'm faced with 2 left & one right turn, I get stopped at 3 lights almost every day, & all 5 lights at least once a week, but sometimes more often which is why the shortest route both ways has the widest MPG range.

Longest route is 5.2 miles one way & has 3 lights. Going to work, I face 3 left turns, & get stopped at 2 lights every day, & 3rd about once every 7 days. One of the left turns is at a light without a left turn signal... Coming from work, it's 3 right turn & I get stopped at 1 or more lights about three times a week. One light is a yield going home & never have to sit & wait more than a second if it's red. Second one is also a yield, but is frequently busier.

Without tracking my mileage, I never would have believed that driving an extra 1.4 miles on the way home would increase mileage by about 3 miles per gallon.

I also wouldn't have believed that the onboard MPG display would be as accurate as it is...
But for the past 620.6 miles, I've averaged 25.32 MPG using mileage Vs gallons of fuel purchased method of calculation.

And the DIC calculated MPG:

But then again, I never imagined that this beauty would do better in highway mileage than my Hyundai Accent either, yet it does!!!

At 70mph on fairly flat ground I get 30-31 mpg. Mixed I am usually around 26-27 mpg. If i drop it to 65mph I can get 33 mpg. I get 27 mpg at 80. After that it gets ugly fast.

My LS2.2 has been getting around 22 MPG for the last year or so. It was starting to idle rough, so on a whim, I filled it with middle grade gas. I reset all the readings and got a reading of 26. The second tank of mostly highway driving yield 30MPG. Either it needed a little cleaning out or I got off the corn squeezings. Whatever the case I sure like the new readings

Nice mileage & one of the upgrades I'm considering.

After swapping the "wooly worm" for aluminum ducting, my 2.2L on 87oct went from 25.5MPG (1,084 mile average before the 'worm' fell apart in my hands) to 26.38MPG average on last fill up - 2nd fill up since the swap.
