$4000 rebate on 2010 LS model

$4000 rebate on 2010 LS model

Thru the end of this month, Chevy is offering 4k rebate on the LS. I went HRR shopping today and to pick up the keys, it'll cost me $18,400. That's tax and tag included. I don't have a trade-in. Now, I just checked my e-mail and there's also some kind of "special coupon" being offered by the sales manager at one of the Chevy dealers I visited today....hmmm. I got a feeling,..and just a feeling, but based upon another internet offer, that if I agree right then and there as I view the "special offer" that it'll bring the price down to $17,900. Gonna hold off a day or so before I view the offer.

By the way, I also test drove a 2011 Scion XB today, $20,400. Nice ride and a few extras, bigger too! I`ll decide in a few days.

Slightly used, avoid the major depreciation driving off the lot..

We just got a new Victory Red 2010 HHR LT w/2LT for 19k. The LS had the rebate but the LTs had dealer cash of 4k so same thing.

yeah i got my black 2LT for 19,350 and it said i got a 4,000 rebate... lol

picked up my '10 LS on May 29th from Paddock Chevrolet in Kenmore NY for $4000 rebate off the sticker of $19540. Went with a manual transmission, have 800 miles on it already and averageing better than the 32mpg rating. Extremely happy with my purchase

My 08 Panel 1LT cost me $18,400 in October 07...... wow, did these go up if $19,000 is AFTER a $4000 rebate on an LS....

Got Mine... Awesome

I took advantage of the $4,000 rebate and bought a crystal red metallic LS. First day driving it today. It's awesome.

Requested an online quote, and received one for $15,299, which was for aqua blue. So when I decided to go with crystal red instead, they added on the $325 color surcharge, and $100 for a spare tire, bringing the total to $15,724 plus tax. Didn't have the hassle of haggling because of the rebate, and the rebate brought the price of the car down to the level of other cars I was looking at, so of course I had to go with the HHR, even though I wanted higher gas mileage (but didn't want a tiny car).

I plan to install fog lights and add the lower front "gutter guard" mod ASAP, in addition to modding my grill into a 3-bar, if I can find this color in a spray can.

I actually started reading this group more than a week before my purchase, and I look forward to helping out and even meeting some of you guys one day. Anyone here in Chicagoland? A run or meet this summer would be great. We can cruise a stretch of Rt. 66 and baptize our rides.

The HHR "being overpriced" by 15% discussed elsewhere, which compares sticker to sale prices, is probably explained by that $4000 rebate. However, I agree with sleeper's earlier concise comment on this thread. I get my best value purchasing approximately 2-year-old well-equipped used cars. I bought a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R in 2007, a 2007 Ford Ford Focus SE, 2007 Toyota Prius fully optioned with leather, and 2007 HHR 2LT for various family members last year and early this year. When I became a doctor, I foolishly decided I could afford fully optioned new cars. 3 kids in college (each needing a car as well) caused me to reconsider! If I were to buy another HHR again soon, it would probably be the later (2009-10) incarnation of the SS with manual, sunroof, and performance package, only if the used price drops enough within the next 3 years or so. I am loathe to surrender my heated seats and would probably retrofit seat heaters! Of course, I only drove a manual LS before buying my 2LT, and haven't even test driven an SS yet (anyone own one near Tyler, TX, Shreveport, LA, or Springfield, MO who would be willing to share?) but I hear it's nice!

Wow PhatBob, that is an amazing deal!!! I to did the online price quote thing and all the dealers here in Miami were fairly close in the $18,400 price (with rebate) tag. I noticed if I expanded the search a lot further north the prices really started to drop, but nothing like the deal you got. I haven't signed the dotted line yet.
