2006 chevy hhr, front end whining noise constant front right

My chevy hhr 2006 has started making a whining noise, which seems to be coming from the front drivers side which is getting louder. Jacked up car & checked to see if tire would wobble or move but doesn't. any idea what it could be?

Hub bearing is most likely bad.

If "constant" means even when in park the flex pipe if only when moving the hub.

Welcome- You can still have a bad wheel bearing with no play or wobble..

Yes you can , the bearings get pummeled with an encounter with a pothole or curb, train tracks are nasty around here.
They get damaged easily.
