2006 hhr blower fan

2006 hhr blower fan
Blower fan resistor burnt out. White side has black streak side to side. I replaced resistor, and HVAC relay and checked all fuses which are good. I have no power to new resistor or fan. Wiring looks good. Is it possible that the fan speed switch in module was damaged. If so can the actual switch be replaced or do you have to replace complete module. Are there any electrical checks for fan speed switch

If it is a 2006, has the butyl patch under the windshield cowl been fixed?
Has anyone done any electrical mucking about?
If you connect the Orange wire on the switch directly to ground the fan should run. That would point to the switch.
