I just snapped a picture with my cell phone camera of a 2008 HHR with Blue Flash Metallic paint. The metallic flake in the paint gives off a purple glow when the sun hits it just right. You can see the glow a little bit to the right of the driver side tail lights. (Sorry about the quality... crappy cell phone cameras...)

Forget about the quality (my old cameraphone didn't look HALF that good w/photos) - that looks good!

 

I found a red and a white panel in Eau Claire also a Black Woodie. just got to find the pics

 

It's pretty, but it's not my cup of tea. My wife called it "Disco Superman Blue"...

 

Looks like its Imperial Blue for the SS then.

 

Until I see it in person, I'm really glad that Dory is Datona Blue Met and didn't cost anything extra.

 

That colour looks like Daytona Blue Metallic

 

The are basically the same. The new flash blue metallic has an additional purple glow to it though.
