Cheaper to buy a new one from a GM dealer. Last I looked (a few years ago) they were under $20.

The part number is engraved on it.

Well now they are under $30.00.

BRACKET. Air Cleaner Intake. AIR INTAKE SYSTEM made by GM. #15784193

I just threw a broken support bracket. The air filter box lay down directly on the engine. The efforts of the rubber tube is sufficient to keep the box on the site.
But! I have to get rid of the oil filler neck. Otherwise, the box can unscrew it (the vibration or displacement of a sharp maneuver).
Neck - go away, oil cap directly in to the engine.

2011 hhr air filter housing

my 2011 hhr broken housing bracket ,my brother in law had a worker at his shop make the 2 ends that bolt on the back of the motor thicker it works but the 2 rubber spacers on the bottom miss the studs on the bracket by about a inch so I put heavy duty snap on fasteners on the bottom of the housing and on the top of the bracket to secure the back of the housing .

Faster to order a new one , and it fits!

I merged nothighorlow's 3 threads on this subject.

No need to start new threads just to post an update.

You made a comment on another thread which showed a cheap and easy fix. Why not give that a try.

my brother in law had a friend of his where he works he made the 2 ends thicker that bolts to the motor so it wont break and I put heavy duty snap on fasteners on the bottom of the housing and on top of the bracket to secure the back of the housing .

The reasons they break:
Vibration, like bad motor/trans mounts.
Abuse from bad installation.
