3rd, Brake Light LED ?

A stupid question but
I want to change the third brake light bulbs to LED.
Will that cause a issue with the cruise control like burned out bulbs do ?
I have no code issues with all interior LED and reverse bulbs !

Thanks

Some have installed LED 921 bulbs, made for brake lights and had no problems, these weren’t cheap.
I’ve installed 921 LED bulbs in Oldblue, and the cruise control didn’t work, so back to incandescent 921’s

Some have a built in resistor. If they are labelled "OBD compatible" they should work. Or, add a resistor after doing the research involved.

Thank you . That is what I thought ! I do not want to add a resistor ,

I added LED'S to the reverse light w/ no codes !

But they do not affect the cruise control like the third brake light !

SO guess i will stay with the OEM 921 bulbs ! Again

What is there to gain by putting LED bulbs in the CHMSL (3rd brake light) ? Does it make it brighter ? If so, you'll be another one of those folks with the blinding brake lights at night. My opinion is the stock bulbs put out plenty of light without the hassles of LED's.

Life.

Me, I'd put in the standard bulb and hope I live long enough to need to change it again.

Not that it matters, but, I like how quick LED's turn on and off.
I run LasFit Canbus 921's in my CHMSL.
Every light bulb in my HHR and in my house are LED's.
Again, this is just my preference.
As previously stated, I have issues.
