3rd Brake light out

I first noted that my cruise control wasn't working. posts here led me to check my 3rd Brake Light and sure enough it isn't working. All the bulbs were blown. I replaced the bulbs but they aren't lighting up. Fuse #9 (10A) inside the car is good, Relay 30 is in good.
The wires going to the 3rd brake light look good e.g. no burns or breaks. I connected the 3rd light assy directly to voltage and the lights come on.
The regular stop lights left and right come on with brake pedal depress.
The OBDII code reader shows no DTCs

Since the stop lights come on can I assume the Brake Pedal sensor is working properly and completely?
With it being BCM controlled are there any "conditions" that have to be met for the light to illuminate?
How do the ECM and TCM affect operation

Will check for voltage at 3rd brake light connector this afternoon.

Got this fixed today. All four bulbs were blown. Put in new 921 bulbs and the high mount stop light started working.

I went for a drive and the cruise control engaged.

Yea!!!

That doesn't make sense. First post said all the bulbs were broken, and replaced, but they didnt work. 2nd post says all the bulbs were blown, and were replaced.

I’ve got questions, but hey it’s fixed ! Awesome.

Very observant of you whopper.I guess inquiring minds want to know.

I originally replaced the bulbs with some LED 194 bulbs I had on hand.
Today I installed 921 bulbs. Seems the system prefers the load of incandescent bulbs.

Did that answer your questions Oldblue?

Your cruise control works now.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. My cruise control works! Yes, yes, yes!

An FYI. The brake lights have to be illuminated 1 time per key cycle to activate the cruise control circuit.
In other words, you have to step on the brake pedal after starting the car or the CC won't engage. Not an issue with a auto trans car because you have to step on the brake pedal to move the shifter.
With my 5 speed I have started the car and gotten on the highway without ever touching the brakes. AND, the cruise will then not engage until I tap the brakes once.

Answered, 194 LED bulbs wouldn’t work , I have 921 LED bulbs they work fine.

Yeah, I had some 194s on hand so I tried them. Regular 921s are fine for me.
