Ok, so hopefully yall understand this a lot better then me.

Mech, said he got the compressor to spin, check pressure on low and high port, when AC is "on", there is a hiss sound coming from the vents. All power supplies showed proper connectivity.

So that is what he told me. I took it to him cause while driving, car went into "cool down mode" spiked all the way to the red and had to pull off road, so had him check both while under hood.

Now replacing fan, and whatever is wrong with the ac

Hmmm. This is the 1st I've heard about you having a cooling system problem. That would have been some good info to know when we were trying to help with your "AC" problem.
Really hard to fix someones car issues over the Internet,,,,add in the 3rd party mechanic and it's just tougher.
Have your mechanic deal with it. Nothing else we can suggest since you're not the one working on it.

The cooling system problem is new, it didnt do it to us all the way to NY from ohio and back, only when it got super hot (finally here in ohio got hot). As of right now, he did find out fan is bad, when applying constant power to the fan he said it wouldnt turn on, so ill be replacing the fan. When it comes to the AC he refereed me out to an AC specialist.

Ive been reading and researching here on the form about the AC issue, lots of great reading.

The a/c problem is probably due to the cooling problem.

before i went out to get kids from school, i checked the resivour and took off the rad cap, both have plenty of fluid from what im reading, i wonder when the new tstat got put in, if the air bubble was put at the right place.

total random... when we redid alot to the f150 included new antifreeze, we had to "burp" the system, do HHR systems get "burp"

Sorry, but I'm not even sure what that means (in blue) above.
As far as the AC issue, not understanding that description either. "Gauges hooked up but hear a hissing noise ?" So, was there a full freon charge or not ?
You stated there was freon before. If there was a hissing noise from freon that was loud enough to hear then that freon would have leaked out long ago.

As stated before. Just take it to your repair shops and let them fix it.

the f150 tstat i installed, had a small air bubble release spot at the top of the tstat that had to be pointed up, didnt know if the hhr tstats had one, couldnt remember.

have the money for diagnosis but rather repair here at home. to save a few more dollars.

When I replace the dead fan I'll throw new tstat in. That way it's just done. I know we got one a new one at motor exchange but had lot of bad luck lately with had parts in New box.

I know when I press the inside air button the temp gets hot quick. While using the outside air will maintain temp even with the busted rad fan.
