Had to go see my family in GA, so from Ohio to GA with no A/C sucked! While down there we were all talking about A/C repairs on other cars, I brought my issues up... An older uncle of mine made a comment about not knowing what the previous owners had done, seeing how they had done many other sketchy things...
His advice; (now hes older and back woods....)
"I bet them idiots, disconnected a line to do something and let it all out...Turn on the A/C full blast, leave it on for at least 30 mins, this will knock any blockage out of the way and get the clutch/compressor working.... Once youve done that, get you one of them 50.00 A/C refill cans with Lube/Oil//Freeon/Stop leak in it. Hook it up, shake it while holding down the trigger (hold can straight up, bottom of can pointed at car). Run it till the gauge on it is right before to much.. And I bet it works."

So for poops n giggles while waiting in the car on the wife who had to take kids in to get shots for school.. I turn it all on max... Even on the drive home just left it on, the system started to make a "hiss" that would get louder and quieter, then would quit... Then it would hiss again, so "why not", got the can from the garage and did what he said... And ill be a son of a monkeys butt... Since i did that, I have A/C and been about a month now! Very cold A/C on top of that... Also feel like a total dumb arse now...

:thumb: Glad you got it working.

But. If you had listened to the advice before about hooking up some gauges to both the low AND high sides, you most likely would have found the problem back then.
And don't be surprised if you lose AC cooling sometime in the near future. From reading the other posts of your's, you may have a small freon leak in the system.

Im afraid there is a leak to.

Having someone hook up low and high side was more expensive then could currently cover. Cheapest A/C place around was 125 to figure out issues, just wasnt in budget currently.

When it leaks out, I think at Tax time ill have extra money to have it hooked up or just buy my self set of gauges so I can check it and my other cars, finally cooling down in Ohio so shouldnt be using it much longer.

AC stop leak causes more problems than it fixes. For instance, clogging Schrader valves and modern condensers.

it wouldnt surprise me. a lot of stop leaks are horrible, she already had the heat on this AM, haha
