Amplifier Interface 2010 HHR
Hello everyone. I have a 2010 hhr with the non pioneer radio. I am looking to install a bass system in it. I have read a few things online about being able to keep the factory radio and add an amplifier integration module to be able to hook the amplifier up to it. Is this actually possible or just people blowing smoke?

:welcome8: to the forum!
I'm sure one of our in-house audio experts will weigh in soon with a better answer than I can give, in my day a "Bangin'" system was a Kenwood AM/FM Cassette and a pair of 6x9 Pioneer speakers. In the meantime, check out our Audio Sub-Forum by clicking the link below.... Audio and Video - Chevy HHR Network |
Welcome to the site! I said Welcome to the site!!! Maybe your radio is loud but not crisp! A good car stereo shop should be able to set you up.
Post any progress you make with your install. |
Oldblue, I say Oldblue, have you been watchin' a bunch of old Warner Brother's cartoons while your Sweetie is healing up?;)

Fortunately, I keep my feathers numbered for just such an occasion!!

The easiest way is to cut the rear speaker wires and wire them to the speaker level input that most new amps have.

Yeah I'm not really interested in cutting wires too much. I do plan on eventually reselling it. I purchased the add an amp chevy kit and it will be arriving early next week. It says it will work on a 2010 so we will see.
