So far I have about 550 dollars worth of dings, scratches and a bumper with chipped paint. But since I was able to fix my rear hatch ding. I just saved 150 bucks. So I guess it would now cost about 400 bucks to repair the rear bumper and fix up a couple of scratches. If I buy the tools and paint I think I can fix my car for much cheaper. I'm willing to learn

Sorry to hear about your HHR. I too have an orange HHR and did almost $10,000 in damage to my car. I hit a deer at 70 mph dead center hit. I was without my car for 2 months. Waiting on parts. I did get Chevy to make one months payment for the delay. My insurance required 70% of the value in damage and they went by new price. My was $16,990 so I had to hit $11,900 to get it totaled. Good luck with your car. Hope it all works out for you!

In 89, I had purchesed a Dodge Colt, had it for 2 months, got T-boned and spun into a tree. Insurance company totaled it and paid the loan in full, leaving me to sue the other person for money lost(down payment and 1st monthy). That left me a square 1 to look for a new ride.
