I know this topic has been talked about before but I want to make sure I get the right hitch, what I don't want is a hitch that sets low to the ground like a Draw Tite Hitch I saw on a HHR. I'm looking at this hitch from Hidden Hitch http://www.etrailer.com/pc-H~60815.h...cleid=20066992 , I want a hitch that fits tight against the rear fascia bumper...is this it?

The draw Tite fits close to the fascia, the Hidden Hitch is lower mounting. If you order the Draw Tite you have to order the reciever also. Its included in the Hidden Hitch.

 

Tom, the Draw Tite I saw didn't even come close to the fascia, do you have a Draw Tite Hitch...any pics of one mounted on a HHR.

I have the Draw Tite and it fits pretty close to the bumper... I was under the impression that they were manufactured by the same people for both companies anyways.

 

Thanks for the pic, looking at the pic I can see most of the hitch..what I want is a hitch that you can only see the 1-1/4" square receiver opening.

I was hoping the Hidden Hitch cross bar was tucked up behind the rear fascia, I helped install a Curt Hitch on a friends Scion XB and all you can see is the 1-1/4" square receiver opening...anyone have a Curt Hitch on there HHR? Thanks for all the replies.

 

I have the Curt. With the spare tire sump and the standard rear bumper, you will not be able to have the crossbar hidden (atleast without a lot of cutting). The SS bumper may be different.
