In another trailer hitch thread here in early 2006 Gambler and myself posted pics. Gambler has the Drawtite and I have the hidden Hitch.

A76 could you post a close rear shot like the top one? Thanks.

THe SS rear fascia sits lower then a non SS model, I've done a search but can't find the thread where someone had a welding shop modify there hitch to fit there SS....post a thread in the SS forum and see if they respond. Congrats on the SS.

I was thinking of adding a hitch on my SS BEHIND the bumper cover with a cover that one can pop off when the hitch is in use..otherwise its hidden...along with that a couple of air bags for the rear springs...thoughts?
If you can find the thread I mentioned to [Btamaynard][/B] I think you would be happy with the way it would looks, if Air Lift makes an bag for the HHR I think that would be a good idea...there local to me so I'll give hem a call today.
found the thread for you SS guys, https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...ighlight=hitch , here's another thread showing what a unmodified hitch would look like on a SS https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...ighlight=hitch .
i used a kit made by AIR-LIFT i just did 2900 miles towing 1900lbs they worked perfect, no sag, no bottoming out, and a stock like ride! also gone is the sway, since i installed them with individual air lines.. i used a kit made for a early cavalier, it uses 4x4in bags .pics and part numbers to come!
