Anyone have this happening to them?

I bought the wife's '06 LT at Dodge\Jeep dealership, but, had the cam actuators replaced at a Chevy dealer, now I'm getting calls from the Chevy dealer wanting to know if I want to trade in the HHR. I don't know if this is because of the recalls, or that these cars are starting to get noticed again......
Has this been happening to anyone else?

Yep. Get those every now and then. "HHR's are in high demand and we'll give you top dollar for your trade in".
Yeah. Right. I've never traded in a car in my life. I will just private sell my old car to avoid losing $ by trading.
Got one the other day from a dealer saying "Our sales manager is in need of your car from this list. We will make you an offer for your car that is highlighted in yellow."
Highlighted in yellow was a Caddy Escalade..... Ain't got one. Never owned one.

Oh yeah, our local Chevy store was bought out by a New York owned chain two years ago, and every other week I get "we want your(insert model year)HHR, and we'll allow $10,000 over Blue Book trade in value!!!!!!!".
I'd use them to line the birdcage, but first I'd have to buy a bird.

The recall is party responsible. Chevy is using DMV records to track down owners. It is the same reason my 2008 suddenly reappeared on my county Personal Property Tax bill, just weeks after I got the recall notice. That car was wholesaled/junked 18 months ago.
I got one from a dealer that got my name/car info because they put it in the system when I got some replacement parts from them. "Auction prices for the Chevrolet HHR are at an all time high! We'll give you 120% of the trade in value of your 2006 Chevrolet HHR." Yeah, I'm not that stupid.
I use a completely different dealer on the other side of town for everything. They're a little more professional. (Probably because they franchise multiple brands, and aren't hurting for business as much as the other dealer.)
Either way, I like my HHR. It'd have to appreciate in value by a pretty good margin for me to consider even selling it private party.

Including today, have received 4 (over the past couple weeks). One for a car I haven't owned in 5 years, 1 I haven't owned in 2 years. One was something like, ".....give you as much as $22,950, for your......". I was just offered $30,000 flat by a club member of another group.
Called my rep at the dealership. He says they are automatically generated from "interests" lists, previous purchases and continuing services. They also have a couple of in house "cold call" people. He removed my name from the cold call list......since he knows I buy when I want and from him.
