Arm Rest?

I have seen prior posts noting that the armrests slant too low down. I thought that was fixed for 08 but apparently not. At least not on our car. The passengers seems ok but the drivers tilts down.

What has anyone done to correct this?

Remove armrest. Drill a small hole in the channel and put a metal screw in it (essentially a new stop). Figure out how much correction you want beforehand, not much was required on mine, like only 1/8" to 3/16".

Dream, do you have any pics on the removal of the armrest? I would like to change the level of my armrests.

Take out the plastic plug on the outside of the armrest, not sure of the size of bolt 17 or 18 mm. remove bolt take off armrest. You will see a cruved slot, find where you want it to be drill hole put in screw reinstall armrest

Mine was under warranty...

Made an appointment with the dealership and they replaced both of mine with new armrests at no charge.

I didn't have to drill anything. I just put a sheet metal screw in the end of the slot (thread it into the slot) and that was enough to do it.

Over a year ago, I did the modification that several have suggested here. But on a recent trip to my dealer, I had them REPLACE the armrest per the TSB that addresses this problem.

You might want to refrence TSB #07-08-50-007

I had the TSB applied last year.

Better than it was from the factory, but still didn't totally resolve the problem.

Here's the 7 page thread about the armrest issues. Apparently not fixed on subsequent models either.
