I have searched the threads and reviews.
Am I to assume if the window sticker does not indicate ABS that the vehicle is not ABS equipped?
One review indicates it's an option. Another indicates it is included with the 2LT package.

We purchased a 1LT, the only optional equipment listed is an Auto Trans and the 2.4LTR. engine. There is no warning / check light visible when starting the car.
So I suppose we did not get an ABS equipped vehicle?

 

Nope sorry no ABS on the 1LT unless you pay for it . And yes the 2LT has ABS as a standard

 

ABS has it's advantages and disadvantages. Don't worry if you didn't get it. I didn't get it on my HHR either, and I purposely have it disabled on one of my other cars.

 

It should list it on your window sticker...see below. BTW this is not my car...just a window sticker from the internet.

We won't stress about not having ABS.
I have been a Pro. Driver for most of my adult life and consequently aware of the Pros & Cons of the system.

I was thinking that there was an additional insurance discount from our carrier for an ABS equipped auto, but it appears that will be a non-issue.

I know insurance companines used to give a discount, but it was so minimal it's really not a concern. I think my policy went down $5/year on a car that they didn't know I had ABS on. LOL
