Hi everyone, long time member here, have not posted in about 10 years... Have I got a fun story for you! I bought my first HHR in 2006 (black) and fell hopelessly in love. I had it all decked out and I adored it. When I found out Chevy was discontinuing them, I bought a new one in 2011. I eventually had it repainted, it was supposed to be purple and orange, turned out purple and yellow, I wasn't crazy about it but in any case... It got stolen. It was recovered 2 days later and returned to me in perfect shape (the thiefs added almost no mileage and never even changed the radio channel!). Sadly, while it was gone, I never expected to see it again and I went and bought a Mini Cooper. When my HHR came back to me, I tried to talk to Mini into cancelling the sale, but they would not. They however accepted to take my HHR as a trade-in for 2000$ (bullcrap), telling me that they had someone in mind for it. So I let my HHR go and I was super sad... About 9 months later, I get a call from a friend from out of town who tells me he just saw my HHR sitting on a car lot in a small village, all sad and lonely. I slept on it a couple of night, my heart breaking, then I drove out to that village and... bought my girl back for $15,000. THAT is love. But the issue now was that we had no room from 3 cars, so I gave my HHR to my mother-in-law who was past 75 at the time. Boy did she look cool driving around town! She recently got her driver's license taken back (she is now 88 and not safe on the road) and I got my HHR back to sell... Well, I did what any guy in love would have done. Today, I sold my Mini and I am going back to my 2011 HHR. I got to drive her again last week and it was like falling into the arms of an ex you never forgotten. I know that I did not make the most astute financial move but HHRs are affairs of the heart and reason doesn't control that! It is now with my car wrapper friend and will come back looking like a London taxi with a "Harrod's"livery. I will post pics when I get it. But I am so so happy! First HHR, 2006 Second HHR 2011

We too bought our second HHR in 2011, for the same reason. EEK! LAST CHANCE! Mostly parked for several years, until we decided to let go of the well-loved 2008.
