Bad floods in Tucson AZ = NO BUMPER!

Yeah so I went outside on Saturday morning to find this....

http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...i/NoBumper.jpg

The streets were so flooded in front of the house that the water pressure built up inside the rear bumper cavity and tore it off... IT TORE THE THING CLEAR THE :censored: OFF!! I AM :censored:!!! Sorry!:red: So I call my insurance, drop it off monday morning, get to the rental place (no HHR's only PT's and not one to rent so get a Cobalt nothing in it but an auto, AC and a CD player), and now I am waiting to hear back. This sucks. AND we have MORE rain to come... By the way... a wash nearby called the Rillito Wash Which is around 10 ft deep looked like a raging river! We had a RIVER in AZ! Kinda neat but yeah so I am still mad. Oh well. Be back on the road in the HHR soon! I hope! Once again sorry for the rage!:red:

HHR DLYT 08-01-2006 08:21 PM

Wow Jason, what a bummer! I hope you get your baby back quickly!

Holy crap. :scared: That must have been one hellluva lot of pressure to rip the rear cover off. Please keep us posted on what happens with the HHR. :thumb:

Man oh man, yuck, our HHR's are ugly without their shell pieces!

I hope your insurance covers that "Act of God'!

Jason
Sorry to see and hear about what happen. I saw the flooding on TV but did not think it was that bad on the streets. Thought it was just the river and right there by it. Gina also said sorry to hear what happen , she almost fell over when she seen the photo.

No other damages, just a missing bumper. The water was just above the running boards and rushing down the street in a make shift natural disaster movie (small scale version of course!).

BlackHHR 08-01-2006 09:38 PM

Sorry to see that. Hope you get it back soon. Hope that no water got inside it.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. That's some pressure!

That's crazy, water damage in AZ...:wtf:

Do you have any close-ups of where the bumper was attached, i'm curious about how well they're held on.

I'm not sure about the rear bumper, but the front isn't held on by much.

Sorry to hear about your bumper but be glad thats all that happened. I use to live in Tucson many years ago and I know how those "dry washes" can get during a thunder storm. Bone dry one minute then 8 feet deep within just a few minutes.

That really sucks! Did anyone find the bumper cover, maybe you should look down stream for it.

Yeah, like maybe to get the rear bumper cover from Razzi. That is the best part of their kit.:D
