Fuel lines
I have the dreaded fuel lines starting to leak. I am just curious if anyone has
used the set from Rock Auto. They only seem to have one set available.
I have a 08 LT with 2.2. This is the listing https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...e+/+hose,11224
Just wondering what else is needed possibly?

I hear you there. Mine is pretty much getting to the point of becoming the winter beater.
Don't rally want to spend anymore than I have to. My real question is it says two lines.
Second line must be the vent line?

I used the two piece line set from the same company one vapour line and one fuel pressure line.
I read here another member posted he used the set from RockAuto, it was easier to route the lines.
Careful with the clamps and retaining clips .
Jack up the HHR and place it on jack stands with the front end higher.
Disconnect the fuel pump fuse in the underhood fuse block, release pressure of the fuel line by starting the car , undo the fuel tank cap.
I started at the front and worked to the rear to remove the old lines, I started at the rear to install the lines and work them into the retaining clips.
I read here another member posted he used the set from RockAuto, it was easier to route the lines.
Careful with the clamps and retaining clips .
Jack up the HHR and place it on jack stands with the front end higher.

Right on OB.
That is what I was looking for when I asked. Hands on experience is invaluable.
Probably just going to let the shop next door to work do it for me anyway.
They price things for me right and don't have a problem with me supplying parts.

Oh, the vapour line, or EVAP line double check the engine end fitting, I had to reuse the OEM quick fitting.
Clean the fittings with a little blast if compressed air, wear your safety glasses, and when installing the new fittings a little drop of clean engine oil to lube the orings.
Heres the rub, all the fittings are metric on the HHR, a smaller 8mm fitting at the EVAP Solenoid up under the hood, and the other fittings are 10mm
The replacement lines are 5/16 and 3/8 just a touch difference in size. My pressure line fitting at the fuel tank leaked abit, but has sealed up now, I’m still waiting for a replacement feed line from the fuel pump to the fuel pressure line, the short piece above the gas tank.
GM is sourcing one for me, and making a couple more as our HHRs are starting to need these.
All that said and done, in retrospect, I would fab new lines from 3/8 nylon line and stainless fittings.
