Best free CAN diagnostic software?
I have an ELM327 adapter which works with the CAN HHR obd system. What's the best freeware diagnostic software folks use for their laptop to read codes etc.?

I have both the free and the paid for Torque software on my phone and tablet. I like them a lot.
The version I paid for was under $10.00 at the time and has more features than the free one, not sure if they are different now. I use them with all my vehicles.

ScanMasterELM is good. You might be able to find it for free on the interwebs.
