The rentals are cycled out when they get 20,000 to 22,000. They are the program cars that get sold.

That's another thing that's changing. I'm seeing a ton of miles on some of the rentals that are for sale. It used to be that they would sell them off at a set number of miles. They're also advertised as "no hassle prices". You can't even haggle with them unless it's about your trade-in value. They want a lot of money for vehicles with miles on them, but you see them being bought up at auction by dealers who sell them for a lot less. Why bother saying you'll sell to the public if the prices are so high?

I got mine used. But it had 11 miles when I left the lot. Enteprise Rent A Car had over purchased their fleet so they sent a bunch staight back to GM.

Hey guys, I'm new here and have been reading these forums for awhile. I just purchased a used black HHR from Carmax. It's a 1LT with the 2.4 engine, automatic, running boards, spoiler, ABS, fog lamps and even a nice custom pinstripe with only 4500 miles on it. In looking for my HHR, I began looking for used ones and found this one luckily on the Carmax website for only $16,998! All of the other used ones I have seen had more miles and less options for much more money, closer to new retail prices. I just don't understand why the prices are so high compared to new ones, especially with the amount of miles many of them have. Anyway, I feel I got really lucky finding this one since it was such a good deal.

Well, at least our vehicles have an excellent resale value. A first for GM in 35 years! We're ground-breakers on several levels!

Yea. But I got mine "used" but it had 4 miles before I test drove it. So it still smelled good and I got a good price.

I got Ls 2.2. Looking to add nurf bars and grill. I will consider some preformace parts at a later date.
