Blinker noise and speed rated delyed wipers

Question and a comment....

Does anyone else have an HHR that does not make the tick-tock noise when the blinker is on? Every HHR I have been in except mine makes the noise.

Have any of you noticed that when you hit about 50m.p.h. while driving with the intermittent wipers running they switch from intermittent to full on?

I know, what is this guy smoking? Nothing really, just wanted to know if anyone else sees the same things.

The wiper thing is normal.

The signal noise......have you replaced the radio?

I figured the wiper thing was normal but I wondered if anyone else noticed. It kinda caught me off guard one day.

And yes, replaced the radio. Make a difference?

Yup, when I replaced mine the harness kept all the chimes except the blinker noise. The "old fart" chime still works, just not the clicking.

All of the chimes go through the radio.

No Tick-tock in my '07 either! And I LOVE the wiper speed change!

Your headlights, during the day, turn on automatic after about a minute of having your wipers "on". And the wipers need to be in the shortest delay for the on at 50 MPH.

Illinois actually made/has a law that whenever your wipers are in use, your headlights must be on.
Of course like most traffic laws in America, it`s rarely enforced, but the HHR does fall under this law, which is rather nice. Something else I don`t need to worry about while driving "The Beautiful One".
I did trip a bit, the first time my wipers went automatic (speed) when I got on the freeway.
Question, does changing the radio also eliminate the (turn signal on) signal?
The on that comes on after about 30 sec. if you don`t turn.
