Cam sprockets

I ordered Cam sprockets on Amazon for my 2010 SS. They are supposed to be delivered tomorrow but they don't even show to be shipped yet.
I only have this weekend to work on my HHR and do this job so I'm looking at buying them from NAPA.
My question ... Is both intake and exhaust sprockets the exact same ? I can get them from NAPA tomorrow for sure.

They are not identical, and have different part numbers.

As seen on this site the intake is one number the exhaust is the other

The holidays is most likely going to hold up your order the carrier is the problem

Thank you for the reply I finally figured that out about there being two different sprockets. I went ahead and ordered the cloyes brand from NAPA instead of using the no name brand from Amazon. I'll have the parts from napa tomorrow. Wish me luck on this job lol.
The funny thing... My SS hasn't rattled at all today. It's very hit and miss. I'm replacing the sprockets and the solenoids. Just do it all and be done with it.

So. You’re putting new phaser sprockets on but not replacing the timing chains ?

It was my fault I should have had the shop change the sprockets when they did the chain. Now... I'm getting an intermittent rattle. I decided to change the sprockets and install a GM tensioner, new spark plugs, fresh oil change, she should be good to go after everything is done

My bad. I didn’t see anything in the 1st post about the chains being new. Why do you think new sprockets/phasers are going to fix your rattle ? Those usually don’t need replacement.
That rattle is usually from the timing tensioners.
My SS would get a 1-2 second rattle at startup after it had sat for weeks. I always thought it normal that a tensioner would lose its prime from long non-use. It did it since new.

I could understand it if it sat for days but mine will on occasion do it after sitting over night and a couple times just for a few hours. It's very intermittent.
I'm thinking one of the phasers is not parking properly. It's not to bad to replace them and the solenoids, and the tensioner so hopefully that should take care of it. It's either the phasers or the tensioner. I agree it's whatever is losing oil and causing the problem.

ZZP recommends against replacing sprockets with a chain job. (I seem to remember they said they have never seem a case in which it was necessary.) I have heard others talk about bad phasers, but they may have been aftermarket junk. I wonder if I shoulda replaced mine. Will be following.

I have seen bad tensioners and will now use only new stock GM. That goes for the balance tensioner too; there is an updated superseding one I have used, with a stronger spring. It’s listed for Equinox but not HHR. Yet.

I took the valve cover off and checked the chain and everything and it was all nice and tight. I didn't see any problems. I went ahead and changed the VVT solenoids and put new plugs in it. It seems to run a bit better. A little more responsive.
I didn't change the phasers out. Everything looked great. I'm just gonna roll with it.
