Can I buy Chevrolet HHR dealer accessories after I buy a used HHR?

Well, I should hopefully get my HHR by December. However, I have a question. I will most definitely buy a used HHR (2006-2008). I would really like running boards, roof rails, and other accessories.

If the HHR I want to buy doesn't have these accessories, can I go to my local Chevrolet dealer and get them installed?

I'm sure if you'll pay what they ask, they'd install anything you wanted

Get to know ebay.

I bought most of my "genuine GM" accessories on the bay. There are several vendors that are GM dealers and they usually had better prices than I could get locally.

If you buy from Chevy dealer maybe you work out a deal to get items installed before buying or maybe get discount after you buy your HHR.But labor will be high

When I was 'negotiating' to buy my HHR, I told the dealer that I was interested in several of the "GM Accessories" and if I bought the car from him would he arrange for me to get them 'at a discount'? No problem he says, so I buy the car. He set me up with the parts guy to give me the 'employee' discount on my parts. Well, let me tell you - that whopping 5% he gave me don't go far when they are charging you full retail on everything...

So, like I originally said - I bought most of my stuff either on the bay or through the vendors here on the forum. And usually closer to 60% of retail - not 95%...

Don't take it personal Bob. It's hard to decipher emotions on the 'net!

I don't think he was doggin you Bob, just stating how his dealers idea of a discount and his idea of a discount are vastly different.
