Canadian Pricing on 2007 HHR Now available

My dealer sent me pricing on 2007 HHR in Ontario, Canada.

Running boards are no longer an option and come as standard equipment (installed by dealer).

The three models have changed slightly. The are now:

LS 1A
LT 1B
LT 1C

I priced out the LT 1B and the msrp is $21310 without any options.

The LT 1A (same model but in 2006) has msrp of $21195 so there isn't much of a difference and running boards are included.

I will be adding 'sun and sounds' package (sun roof and 6 disc cd changer and pionner speakers) as well as automatic, remote start, roof rails, fog lights and roof rails. (maybe a rear spoiler too)

Total msrp is $26920 but I qualify for GM discount and with factory order my price would be just over $23000.

Just waiting on financing numbers for 2007 as they are not available yet. They will probably be high to start (5-6%) but with placing a factory order there is a chance they will come down once 06's are sold. Lead time on factory order is 8 to 12 weeks.

Time to take my wife for a test drive this weekend as dealer said he can put through the order now for 2007!!

Not much of a price increase That's an increase of nearly $5,000 from base price on my 1LT. I added running boards after purchase for total of $545 ($455 for boards and $100 for install.) At those prices, I'm glad I bought a 2006.

Forgot about the currency difference...but even so, that's still a difference of $2300 and sounds like only difference on base models is added running boards. Still a lot of difference in my book.

I love Canada but hate Canadian money! I always give people bills but end up with a pocket full of coins.

Try Mexico and the asian countries, if you really want a headache.

Big price difference between US and Canadian MSRP is something we will live with for a while. Recent article done on this subject found that average price difference is around 18%. Some vehicles are higher, some are lower.

I posted the dollar figures to show that difference betwen $2006 and $2007 model of similar trim level is not much and running boards are now included in '07. Happy for me.

Also very excited about 'sun and sound' package Canadian dealers are offering. Sunroof (sun) and 6-disc CD changer with Pioneer 7 speaker system (sound) and with credit applied for this package you are basically paying for sunroof and getting the 'sound' part for next to nothing!! Works for me.
