Are you forgetting to mention a CheckEngineLight or any other warning signs?

Yes my check engine light is on and has been since I bought the said it's just always like that
A friend of mine figures it's the timing chain. Which scares the h*** out of me because that's a whole motor job

It's very high mileage. You should at least get the codes. Why buy it with that history? Maybe you got it cheap.

to the forums!

First of all, replacing the timing chain is not that bad of a job. You don't even have to remove the engine.

But yes, let's get the codes. You'll need to get a code reader, or tow the car to someone who can read the codes for you. Do not attempt to crank the engine over again. If the timing chain is to blame, the engine may not be ruined yet. But continued cranking may yet destroy it.

Welcome to the site, it’s plausible the tubes inside the transmission pan above the filter area are cracked , not allowing pressure to move the car. Easy fix.
