Chilton's or Haynes Manual???

Just curious if anyone's seen (or has their hands on a) Chilton or Haynes repair manual? After looking at a few places, I get the feeling the HHR's too new to see any of these in the local parts store yet.

I emailed a friend who get advance notice on new chilton's and he said that the HHR isn't even on this years schedule for publication. :(

The general pattern with Chilton's manuals is that they're released two years after a major redesign on the model. Haynes only waits one year generally, btu since both Haynes and Chilton are the same company now, they may revert to the Chilton schedule. So look for a shiny new Chilton's book on the HHR sometime in the next decade.

We discussed another manual on here some time back. At that time it was about $125 shipped. Here's the thread where it was discussed. :thumb:

Haynes, Clymer, Chiltons?

None of the big 3 has an aftermarket shop manual for the HHR yet, but since the HHR is built on the same chassis as the Cobalt and uses the same engines, that shop manual is a good interim guide - at least until the real ones come out.

there are online manuals here in pdf format.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a paper one for the HHR..

I think All-Data beats them both.

Old thread is old, I know, but no sense in starting a new one.

Will a Cobalt chilton suffice, I am needing it for chassis/suspension purposes.

These two are a waste of money.

Helms is not cheap but the only one with real info for people doing real work.
