Gonna be putting my polished rims on and thought I'd try to clean up some of the rust on the drums....what kind of brush should I use?

I picked up one with brass bristles at Pep Boys but don't want to hack stuff up either...ok to use?

A Steel wire brush won't hurt the rear drums, sand blast them if they are real bad, then paint them with a hi temp paint.

 

Brass too tough?

Brass is soft, I would use a brass brush to clean crud off calibers and alum parts.

 

Moot point as I can't get the &^%$# lugnuts off with weak azz OEM wrench.....what are you guys using?...I guess I'm not strong enough to bust 100 ft pounds lol

What are you using to bust these puppies off?

breaker bar and deep socket. Drop a flea on the end of the handle and nuts come right off.

 

I like the 4-way aftermarket lug wrenches. Built-in handles!

 

just going to add a note and say anyone that will be changing tires on their car, it will be well worth buying a 4-way as HHR_ROX_CALI said and or a 1/2 drive breaker bar about 14-15 inches long and get 6 point deep sockets the size you need. It will be one of the best investment you can make. I've been using my breaker bar for 45 yrs and don't think I've ever used a oem wrench on lug nuts.

So 4 way my best (and most inexpensive) bet? Be able to muscle the lugs off with that?
