cobalt lowering kits
I'm looking to rid of the huge gap in my fenderwells, stock 06 lt. they don't make the springs everyone talks about in here but still have lots of options for cobalts. it's the same springs right?

No they're considerably lighter spring rate.
These are available, note the different part numbers for the HHR and the Cobalt Store > Car Lowering, Domestic - Canuck Motorsports Online Store: Car Truck SUV lowering lift kits. I've had these for over 125,000 miles no issues |

Not sure what you mean by "the springs everyone talks about". There are a number of different brand names that have been discussed on this site. There are still many brands of springs available for the HHR's. They may not be being made currently but there are still many brands stocked in warehouses. |
Try using Cobalt SS/SC rear springs, they lowered the back of my LS nice, when I had it.
GM Parts Direct: P/N 10390024 Also add a rear sway bar. People talk/like the TTR bar which is a bigger bar than the Progress. Never tried the TTR but in theory should work well with the bigger front bar in the LS/LT. I myself, in both the LS and SS I have now, am using the smaller Progress bar. Works well. |
how much of a difference in height do they make? I don't want it slammed but if it's barley noticeable I would like something that drops it at least 2 inches

1 Attachment(s)
2 inches rear. 1 1/2 front.
