That sure is an odd, photoshopped and edited picture of the car.

I recently bought the 2007 HHR LT, amethyst with 106,000 miles, for $2500 and have had no problems with it. Rides really smooth.

I think it's just a "fish eye lens" or a really bad phone camera pretending to be one...

Looks like alloy wheels, a nice plus. Check out the VIN at https://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php or https://www.gmpartsonline.net/vin-decoder.Might have been an LT2 but that matters less than what's on the car. The 2.4L motor would be nice but wants premium fuel. Might have the Pioneer sound, look for the subwoofer speaker grill inside the left rear wheelwell in the cargo bay. Nuisance failure points are speakers (unless Pioneer, I think) and remote locks, and worn front suspension parts. Get a mechanic to check out the timing chains before you make a deal. My guess.

It's been edited. Shadows don't match. Reflections off the car don't match (tile floor ? ) There is even a reflection of what looks like a telephone pole on the hood. Not sure how that could be with a "wall" behind the car.

A few months ago I bought a 2006 2LT with 140K miles from a dealer for $3900. (Leather, sunroof, 2.4L engine, etc.)

Based on the prices I saw when I was looking, $5K is high for a 2006, unless it had unusually low mileage, like 75K or less.

You should be able to bring it down around $4K.

Well, my experience with my 06 has left me, shall we say, jaded. As for the headlights, I was under the impression that gm put access ports in for the headlights, so a person didn't have to pull out a bunch of plastic rivets and screws. Just to replace headlight or marker bulbs.

Not in an HHR, all years , two push pins and that screw. You don’t even need to remove the tire

Agreed... And the shadow on the front door looks like an outside building with many garage doors.
