Mine actually reached that high just a couple weeks ago on the highway, on the flat straights and the mountains going around 75-80 mph. Guess I might need to check my coolant.

 

I live in Texas and it gets hot here too, however I watch temps (old habit) and find the guage and the dic are very close to norm. 195 to 205 are usual in town, freeway ect.

Temps climb a little after freway stop at red light but only for a minute or so till the fan kicks in. After 48000 miles, no problems with water temps.
