Dammit!!!

Washing the turd this moring for the first time and found where it looks like somebody banged into the side of me. It actually looks like maybe one of the kids in my apt complex ran into the side of it with his skate board or something. It left a nice 1.5 inch dent and a couple of scrapes on the left rear door behind the stone guard and lower. Thats the only thing I can think of. If I can get the dent popped the scuff will buff out, but I dunno about the scrapes. I almost made it a month with no damage. I'll post a pic or 2 if I get a sec.

Cool ouch!

I had my new HHR, now dubbed "HURT" by my son, for 17 days when we had our first incident last week. My son is in full swing potty training and we started the day with a tantrum as well as a big mess to clean up.
Needless to say when we made it to the garage to go to work, I was without patience. My son after his buckle up started to throw another tantrum. I was distracted and I backed up before the garage door was fully in the up position. My wing caught on the door stabilizer and was bent upward and bent the top corners of the hatch down. But my friends at Tri-County Collision fixed me up to the tune of 359.00 for a new wing from GM. The hatch was repaired "bent back" for free and I scared my son into big boy pants! He hasn't had an accident since ours'. Hurt is now no worse for the wear, and I even splurged for window tinting for the front. (no more expensive diapers!!!!!!)

How are you blaming backing into something on your kid? Were they in controll of your vehicle at the time or was it you? I would say that is entirely your fault! That's like slamming in to the back of a parked car because your looking at some girl walking down the street and then blaming it on the girl. Of course it wasn't your fault! Blaming your kid is just low!

Damn Captain man, did somone make you mad today? You seem pretty ticked in alot of your posts The accidents that can be avoided always seem to sting the worse. It's like how could I not pay attention! I am knocking on wood so far. Only a few close calls of people either pulling out in front of me or changing lanes while on their cell phone! Those burn me, the cell phone drivers who seem to think that having their phone in their skull exonerates them from any highway laws!
