diagnose noises link
One of you 'long-timer' sort fields a link about diagnose/determine squeak-rattle-annoying noises, and I followed the link and studied the GM tech bulletin telling about overcoming a 'thud' in the front suspension area.
The 'fix' I'm referring to is the method of bonding the jounce bumpers to the top of the strut rod, so that the bumper and bellows don't just sag onto the top of the strut/seal area, and just swim around up&down riding the strut body to produce the 'thud' that GM discerned for the tech. bulletin(?).
My question is: Will the new KYB stuff that'll deliver tomorrow benefit from that rigmarole, or are these new -premium- parts (jounce bumper/bellows & damper) going to reside where they're expected to(long term), or am I going to be experiencing problems similar to that outlined in the Technician's Alert?
I'm left to wonder if local GM dealer/parts depot have the referenced bonding primer -and- adhesive, instead of being forced to special order & wait for the products?
