dic temp

iam wondering what temp everybodys 2.4 is running i had a 07 was totaled out in november it alsways seems to run around 192 out on the road and around town maybe a few degrees cooler in the winter . ive had a 2010 hhr for a few months now and ive noticed around town its alsways around 181 degrees out on the road its around 185 never gets any where near 192 like the o7 did . the only time this 2010 hhr gets near 192 is if i stop and let it idle the minute i start moving it starts dropping back to 181 degees. i have no check engine light either should i be concerned with this ? i have noticed a slight drop in my mileage too.

194* here...... so constant that if I hadn't on a rare occasion seen higher or lower I would think it's broken.

My 2007 HHR LS runs anywhere between 190 and 202 degrees cruising on the interstate, depending upon weather conditions, grades, and my speed.
I wish that the analog gauge in the instrument cluster was more sensitive. It stays right
on the 4th hash mark when up to running temperature and does not move at all.

I have since come to accept that this is a very good thing. If I ever develop a coolant leak, I feel pretty confident that the analog gauge will alert me to abnormal rising temperatures.

I think that is all the analog gauge is meant to do...... it's not really a "gauge" but an analog idiot light.

Both the '07 LS and the '11 2LT sit at 192 on the highway and peak at 198-200 in town traffic.
