Difference between OEM floor mats?

My HHR has been through 2 winters now and the light grey floor mats are starting to look a little worn and dirty. I'd like to buy the original OEM floor mats from my local Chevy dealer but he didn't have any in stock and I would have to order them. He tells me there are TWO different kinds of floor mats, one is the original, the same ones that come standard on our new HHRs, but there is also a PREMIUM floor mat replacement, which is supposedly thicker and has the HHR logo on it. Does anyone know what these premium mats look like? Are they that much thicker? Do they cover more of the carpet area? Worth the price? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

All I know is my 2LT came with thick carpeted mats, that have spikes under them & on the driver side has a hole to hook the mat onto.
All to prevent mat movement..

That's all I got ...

Floor Mats

Go look on ebay on HHR floor mats and see them, I purchased the rubber one with HHR on them. I have had them for 3 years and still working good. I use my rig for work every day. 110K mi on it.

The base mats are carpeted, while the premium mats are "all-season" rubber and not carpeted.

Interesting... I would have thought the other way around...

I have these:

Yes, they are Cobalt mats. They were in my '06 Cobalt SS that I traded in on my '08 HHR SS. They're a perfect fit in the HHR(shared floor pan), and, a nice match for ebony/ebony interior. Nice thick, heavy duty mats.

Ok, the factory premium mats are Carpet....

Yes they are a good bit thicker that the standard carpet mats. Is it enough to make a difference? Thats up to you. The Premium mats do have HHR sewn into them. the edging looks a little better too.

For me it was worth the difference in price.

As for the Rubber mats that is a completely differant thing. Those would be the All weather option.

Thanks for the fast replies! I think HHorange gave me the answer I was looking for. I'm not really a fan of the rubber floor mats, I know they're good but I like the luxury feel of carpet better, plus I don't mind paying for new floor mats every 2 years or so :) I'll be ordering the premium mats with the HHR logo. I'll try to post some pics of the new mats when I get them. Thanks again everybody! Chris
