SS leather steering wheels with radio controls pop up on EBay every now and then ,

we have a member here who might have a few.

Thanks! I figure that's the easiest way to get the controls nowadays, plus get a nicer steering wheel. I'll see how it goes once I put the aftermarket radio in this evening.

You got the radio adapters I trust. It is not a straight forward job.

Aluminum chrome

I have had many rims that are aluminum that were factory Chromed. But just doesn't seem logical to cover them with cheap plastic. But that's me.

I would remove the chrome cladding & polish up those rims then.

Yup, absolutely. Crutchfield is your friend when it comes to car audio and we used to have a Cobalt in the family and I’m constantly upgrading my car audio so it was pretty much straight forward with just a few quirks. I will admit I drilled the hole for the USB adapter in the wrong position in the tray in front of the shifter but the rubber liner covered it up. It’s a wireless CarPlay Pioneer headunit so the GPS antenna went nicely in the storage tray up top. Still undecided if I want to put on a backup camera.
