General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

Do newer HHR's (09-11) have some of the same ills of earlier HHRs?

Other than the sway bar end links and brake judder, I've never had any of the "issues" with the '06 or '07. The '11 is now developing the standard issue HHR brake judder, so that seems to be a constant...but its easily addressed.

I have a 2011 that I purchased new in October 2010. I have not had any issues to speak of except a window regulator that had to be replaced. Otherwise it's been a great vehicle. I have just over 10K miles on it. Drove it from Tucson, AZ to Manchester, NH not one problem and even driving 16 hours a day, not one complaint on comfort. I got 28-30 MPG the whole way, with it packed full of my stuff. Love this car.

My 2008 Saturn Aura had that steering wheel clunking problem too. I brought it in and there was a bulletin on it, it is a common problem I guess. They just lubed it up and it was fine afterwards.

Dear HHR_GUY07,

I have read your post about what you are experiencing with your 2010 HHR. Have you contacted your service department at the dealership about the steering column? If you did what did they say?

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

I think they are made with the same parts by the same guys so they have the same problems Mine seems to be developing all of them as they come due. Hope I can get them all fixed before it's my turn to pay for every thing.

Our 2010 LT is trouble free so far with 12,500 miles.

Fingers crossed.
