General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

Do newer HHR's (09-11) have some of the same ills of earlier HHRs?

Dear HHR GUY07,

You are very welcome. I look forward to any information that you would like to share once you have visited the dealership.

I hope that you are having a great Tuesday!

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

My 09 is two years old next month and has 45000 miles on it.

Just replaced the tires with some Bridgestone Turanza Serenities and have had no problems what so ever except the USB occasionally not reading a thumb drive.

I gotta believe the newer SS's still make everyone hate you and think you're an ashole.

I bought a 2006 2lt with 32,000 miles 3 years next month and 52,165 miles only had to replace cam solnoids because of the hard shifting auto, changed the bushingd and links because of mileage not problums, and still love the HHR.

Bought an 09

I bought a 2009 1LT from one of the local dealers after making a deal on the Internet. White and NO SUNROOF. (they leak after a few years here)

Problems:
Minor issues have popped up, but at the moment, my only complaint(s) are:

The Driveline seems to have excessive play in it. (Runs good, just seems loose)

The outside temperature display isn't very accurate.(But maybe it's not designed to display anything over 101(Arizona, it was 115 here a few days ago))
(I wonder if the A/C is linked to the outside air temp sensor?)

The Emergency Flasher button didn't work (latch) when I tried to use it a few weeks ago.

Like I said , minor stuff and the next time that I get it serviced, I'll have the
mechanic check this stuff out

27,000 + miles @ 26 months use.

The Thermometer inaccuracy gets cleared up after 20 minutes of driving. If you only hop around town, it will stay inaccurate most of the time.

Just turned 26,000 on my 09 LS, only problem so far was turn signal switch. Plenty of HP for my needs and the body is holding up well after two winters..

With so few miles will you resurface the rotors or replace? Under warranty I had the rotors resurfaced at 22k. Then right at 36k, perfect timing at warranty end, it started again. Went to a local garage and had resurfaced for $50. Pads still in great shape. Not sure how long I will go this time before it starts again, and it will be replacement time. Wife drove to Atlanta and back and no complaints from her, 42k. :)
