Yeah, but then you have to readjust the mirror! I'm too lazy for that.

Does anybody remember the old Capri's??? They had the coolest light-it was chrome and attached to the side of the dash. It had several universal joints so it was very adjustable, and automatically turned on when you moved it.

Just think of the following:
1) Henry Ford said "you can have any color you want as long as its black"
2) Buy more black paint, cost is cheaper
3) GM cut costs which explains the follow:
3a) When you change gears (No display indicator on the DIC)
3b) No rear light swtich in the front
3c) Window buttons lower and inconvience
3d) Sunroof button has a circle slot that's blank, could of had a light there

Just those things alone it saved GM millions but cutting costs.

While we're talking about the sunroof switches, why does Chevy need 2 (1 for tilt and another to slide back) while everyone else (including other GM divisions) make do with 1 button?

Good point! I wondered the same thing but it was never mentioned before. They function properly, and that's a good thing.

Agreed. What's the big deal--one opens & closes, one lifts & lowers?

Yeah, but the one that lowers also closes.
