Drive-in Theater Car Show
In a nearby town, at the Coyote Drive-in, they decided to have a car show, and one of the screens was set aside for a showing of American Graffiti.
While we usually take my Suburban to the show, I figured I'd save a little gas this time, and fired up Herman. I just washed him, too, so he was lookin' pretty good. :thumb: We got in, and I parked my HHR in a decent spot to see the movie, and we went in to have dinner at the on-site cafe. On coming out, I noticed some of the folks roaming the car show with their cameras were also taking pics of my car. Herman's a bone-stock black 2lt. Nothing aftermarket on the outside other than a dual band ham antenna on the roof. I even noticed a woman pointing out the fender lines and then pointing back at another car on display. I figured these would attain Classic status eventually, but it seems like some folks are already noticing some stuff. Now I catch myself wondering about whitewalls, Capone vinyl, and other dress-ups.... Also, watching American Graffiti at a drive-in... that was awesome on toast! |
Cool, nice to have your ride get some attention. :twothumbs:
