Engine noises

Hey guys, just got my 2011 hhr from an old friend who took extreme car of it. But I hear alot of ticking and knocking coming from the engine. One tik is while Im accelerating in low gears, one is while the engine is cold, one because the oil was about a half quart low, biut halfway down the oil indicator. Is also came with a shot suspension, he died before getting it fixed, and don't think he even knew about it. It makes a few more odd noises, but shortterm memory loss isn't a joke.

What code number. No such thing as exhaust sensor.
Have you noticed strange odor? Loud exhaust noise? Flex pipe might be cracked.

Remove the heat shield and have a look for cracked exhaust manifold or broken flex pipe
