No, its not the car, its me. I keep reaching for the fan knob to turn up the radio volume. For some reason its what I reach for first to turn up the radio. But the upside is I'm very comfortable. God I hope the steering wheel radio controls I ordered come in soon.

For some reason I always press change disc rather than change track. What makes it even worse is I have the steering wheel controls. I have been trying to use the steering wheel controls more so I can't switch the discs.

The little buttons on the steering wheel that control the radio. Volume +/-, track +/-, and mute.

I too must admit that I regularly confuse the big and small knobs. Also, after having driven S-10's, the stalks on the column are a bit different. I'm always shifting into the wiper mode, or displaying high beams when turning left. I suppose by the time I pass my HHR to my son, I'll have it all down pat. (my wife constantly tells me that my true handicap is that I'm paralyzed from the neck up )

Here's one for Mike at SoCal......I got mine back from the body shop yesterday (finally). Driving it at night it seems that the dashlights are dimmer. Not having a dimmer switch (that I am aware of) could I be seeing things or could it be true?

I'm not Mike but I can answer that for you. The dash dimmer switch is on the center console where the radio is. It is to the left of the airbag indicator lights, right under the left vent. Hope this helps.

I got into the driver's seat, looked at the dimmer switch, and said to myself "you stupid b******, how the hell could you forget that?"

Wasted away again in Moronville! Sheesh!
