I saw this today while I was checking the Online Order Guide for dealers. Sounds like it could be a tuner look for the HHR.

Week of 8/28/2006
Effective 8/28/2006, the following changes will be made to the Vehicle Order Guide:


Interior section-Added (B37) Floor mats, custom. It is a Ref Only RPO "A" on 2LT with a footnote 1 that reads "Included and only available with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package."
Interior section-(NP5) Steering wheel, leather-wrapped, added a footnote 2 that reads "Includes contrasting stitching when (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package is ordered." and applies to 2LT.
Exterior section-Added (BC9) Black Chrome Exterior Package. It is a Ref Only RPO "A" on 2LT with a footnote 1 that reads "Included and only available with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package."
Exterior section-Added (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package, includes (PGF) 17" (43.2 cm) Black chrome wheels, (BC9) Black Chrome Exterior Package, (T37) front fog lamps with smoked lenses, headlamps with smoked lenses, (BVE) color-keyed running boards, Black chrome exterior stripe, (T43) Regular production accessory rear spoiler, (NP5) leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrasting stitching and (B37) custom floor mats. It is "A" on 2LT with a footnote 1 that reads "Requires (41U) Black exterior color and (19C/192) Ebony interior trim."
Exterior section-(T37) Fog lamps, front, added a footnote 1 that reads "Includes smoked lenses when (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package is ordered" and applies to 2LT.
Exterior section-(BVE) Regular production accessory, Running boards, color-keyed to exterior, changed description to now read "Running boards, color-keyed to exterior". Also changed symbol to "A" on all equipment groups and deleted footnote 1 completely. Added a new footnote 1 that reads "Included with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package" and applies to 2LT.
Exterior section-(T43) Regular production accessory, Spoiler, rear, added a new footnote 2 that reads "Only available with exterior colors (37U) Imperial Blue Metallic, (41U) Black, (63U) Sport Red Metallic or (67U) Silverstone Metallic. For additional GM Accessory Offerings and Installation, please contact your local GM Accessory Distributor Installer (ADI). Included with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package." and applies to 2LT.
Exterior section-(G63) Side rails, roof-mounted, added a footnote 1 that reads "Not available with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package." and applies to 2LT.
Exterior section-Added (PGF) Wheels, 17" (43.2 cm) Black chrome. It is a Ref Only RPO "A" on 2LT with a footnote 1 that reads "Included and only available with (PDM) Fall Limited Edition Package."

 

Oh my, black chrome and smoke lens options... this is gonna be purdy!

i wonder if we can buy those black crome and smoked lens. that would be sweet, especially since i would love to do a black and dark grey or gunmetal theme.

 

Looks like it's time to stop modding mine and trade.

 

I've been trying, since before ordering my HHR, to find someone to do a total "black chrome" package.....without success!

I know Chevrolet Division displayed an HHR with black chrome at one of the SEMA events, at the beginning of the year.

This post has raised my interest and I'm going to check with GM Parts Division for the following...

Front Grill, door handles, roof rails, rear beauty bar, wheels (might debadge @ this time). So, the stock polished chrome parts may be for sale if anyone is interested.

You're right. it looks like I'll have to go Snoopys route and just buy the parts I want when they become available.

LOL... and this morning I was talking to a friend of mine and he said how good my wagon would look with "black chrome" instead of the chrome it has on it now... so I was thinking about how much it would cost me to have all of my chrome parts done in black chrome...

maybe this would be less expensive than having my parts done in black chrome...??
